Peter raced privately and then as part of Team Mount Pleasant Motors in an Anglia owned by Hamish Smith, then Mike Butters and then by Peter. There were three Anglias in the team – Peter Burgess (centre stripe), Brian Maxfield (RH stripe) and Richard Carroll (LH stripe)
