Make Alvis History          
Year 1932 Despatched 2 Aug. 1932 to R.A.H. Baxter, who later took the car to Rhodesia. Owned by Frank Riley of Bulawayo in 1970. Believed to be one of the factory prototypes of the speed 20. Around 1969 had recently finished a 12 month rebuilt, then noted with Roy A. Nutt of Bulawayo around 1974. Later acquired by John O'Kell in South Africa 1983 till c2001 when the car was sold to the son of the original owner in Jersey, Channel Islands.

Despatched 3 Jan 1936 to Leedhams Ltd., York, for Mrs. G.J. Harrison of Lincolnshire. Owned in Rhodesia by Tony Needham from around 1973, taken to the UK in the 1980s. Owned by David Weston Talbot of Norfolk 1989 to date.

Despatched 22 Dec 1936 for delivery to Tate & Lyle PLC of London. Later acquired by L.A. Heatie of Wiltshire, who later took the car to Rhodesia then South Africa and back to the UK between 1952 and 1975. Acquired by Edward G.F. Knott of Cambridgeshire in 1975, laid up in 1980, MOT'd for one year in 1996. For sale with Bonhams Auctioneers on 6 March 2010, with engine 15171.

Year 1936
To coachbuilder 27 Aug 1936. Despatched from the Alvis works on 5 Dec 1936 to James H. Galt Ltd, for T.G. Browmlie of Glasgow. Taken to Africa at some stage where the car is reported to have been owned by the Northern Rhodesian Govt. Owned by RGB Wilson of Bulawayo c1961 then C.R. Morris around 1966-72. Owned by Rudi van den Bergh of Umvuma in 1976, 30% restored. Taken to South Africa. Only the cowl section of the original sedan was retained, with the front windshield pillars cut off, Rudi was in the process of making a replica tourer body, with steel framing. Remains of the sedan noted on Rudi's old farm in Umvuma in 1983. Unknown what happened to the car when Rudi passed away. Later owned by Klaus Groger of Johannebsurg then Langton Wolhuter of Brits. Now owned by Theo Castricum of Holland.

Despatched 12 Nov 1937 to Patrick Motors of Birmingham for Gerald W. Cafferata. Later owned by James Roy of Edinburgh 1939, Gerald Cree, Edinburgh 1939, Selby James 'Bill' Cunningham, Johannesburg South Africa. Acquired in Bulawayo, Rhodesia in 1979 and restored in one year. Only 4.3-litre in SA at the time. Noted with Eddie Quelch (Dealer) in the UK in 1989. Owned by Alan Covey of Cambridgeshire 1989-2008, then Erich J. Scharrenbroich, Germany 2008-date.

Acquired in 1980 by George Galbraith fom Ronnie Rogerson in Salisbury, exported to Durban, South Africa. Refurbished save for some internal Ashwood framing, body by Graber of Switzerland. Sold to Jack Clough and George's brother Gabby shortly after, as George was serving in Special Forces and moved often. Possibly now in Cape Town.
