Speed Six 12’8½” chassis. Built for
stock for the Bentley showrooms. First owned
by M.W. Heneage of Ayrshire, who took
delivery in July 1930. The car was acquired
in 1942 by D. Basil Miles in Rhodesia, just
before he returned to the UK. Sadly in his
absence, the body was stripped, leaving only
the bonnet and front wings. On his return,
Basil Miles obtained a beetle-tail 2-seater
body by Vickers of Johannesburg, ex a 1920
Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost and after
rebuilding the scuttle, fitted this body to
the car. In about 1957, the car was
exchanged for a 1936 Rolls-Royce (possibly GRF5).
Noted back in the UK by 1980 when
the car was offered for sale by Stanley
Mann. Rebuilt with a replica Le Mans
tourer body, mechanically very original.
