Year	1954	Viv Westbury found the remains of this car (minus axle) in Lockinvar car breakers c1982 and restored it using the chassis and rolling gear of a 54 panelvan. It is believed it was at one time owned by the Sanders (store) family. Sold to Paul Rhodes and after changing hands and appearing in a movie the car has ended up with Mike O'Leary.

Year	1956	Noted for sale by Paul Trigg in the UK around 2010. Imported new to Rhodesia, RHD. 350 V8 with 4-speed automatic transmission. Engine rebuilt with Dart II heads, flat topped pistons, Rochester quadrojet carb, Edelbrock aluminium intake manifold. Dual master cylinder and brake servo, modernised electrics. Imported from Zimbabwe in the early 2000s. Owned by Mac Bailey in Zimbabwe before being sold to Paul Trigg who did the restoration and shipped the car to the UK.

Year	1957	Viv Westbury found this 1957 Chev Belair in Juru growth point towards Shamva in 1991, where it was in terrible state. Acquired from Lloyd Motsi, Viv then spent 3 months working overtime to restore it for his sister to drive around zim in 92. Car was ex Port Elizabeth, imported into Rhodesia in 1976. Original motor was rebuilt by Dennis Aschmann in late 70's, when he worked at Mike Appel. It is now fitted with a 350 OMC engine as the original motor was badly damaged by the previous owner. At the time Viv owned the car, the late Des ?? told him he worked in PE when these cars were new, they built 12 LHD then 12 RHD on the assembly line. The LHD cars were mainly exported to the Congo.This car he seemed to think may have been owned by the Manager at the assembly plant, as he recalled the guy having a LHD the same as this with the canyon coral color. All SA built 57's differ from their american counterparts in that the Yanky ones the two tone paint changes at the door level, on SA built ones it changes at the roof line. Also the SA built ones have the same door panel design as the americans but the seats were pleated design like the 55's in the USA. This car is now owned by Ken Arnold in Pietermaritzburg.
