Owned by Rob
Stirling before being acquired by John Hunter, then
sold to Malcolm Laing, followed by Nigel Knight.
Acquired from Nigel by Georgia Hoffman and her
husband Gary around 1975/76 for Rh$300 and a BMW
engine. Stripped
down completely - body off the chassis, stripped
all the upholstery etc. Rebuilt it and even had
to make the taillight lenses because when they
were dismantling, one crumbled. Front and rear
windscreens made out of Perspex in their kitchen
as they were not able to get foreign currency to
import replacement ones from the States. Sold to
Ron Lupson in Salisbury around 1979.

Used for drag
racing in the US, fitted with a 454ci motor. Owned
by James Logan before being sold to Dave Lurie. Sold later to Tony and Roy two
Portugese panel beaters who owned Flame Lily
Panelbeaters. They sold it to Rob Henwood who
took it to Bulawayo where the 454 engine got
damaged, a 283 or 327 was then fitted. The car
stood in Bulawayo for some years and was later
acquired by Ralph Stead in Harare. In
2022 the car was soon to be back on the road, having
spent many years on jack stands.
