Make Ferrari History          
Year 1951 Shown at the Brussel s show in 1951, then sold to Leon Sven via Comptoir Automobiles of Brussels. Raced in 1957 in the Liege-Rome Rally by De Lannoy and Henry. Later went to Rhodesia where it was noted for sale in Umtali in the early 1970s. Later worked on by Derek Henderson. Owned since the 1960s? till early 2000s by William D.M. Hay, car was apparently still in Zimbabwe around 1988? Restored in 2003 by Hall & Hall. Driven in the 2006 Mille Miglia by Mr. Hay. Offered for sale by RM Auction in 2008, car unsold. Acquired after the auction by Fritz Neuser of Germany, later acquired by Werner Schmidt who used the car in the 2009 Mille Miglia.

Year 1964 (1961?)
Owned by Clive Geary in Lusaka, Zambia in 1972. Later Clive and his wife Wendy lived in Malenda, Bulawayo where the car was seen in late 1970s. Sold to Mike Hollinshead of Harare sometime after 1996. Mike owned the car till 2004 when it was sold through Motostars of Cape Town to Peter Jillings of Surrey, who used the car in Cape Town. At this stage the car was painted red over black, the car is currently all red. Later sold to Alex Fortman of Constantia and then in 2010 to Henry Vollenberg of Belgium. 2011 offered for sale by Kroymans in the Netherlands, Euro 149,000.

Owned and restored by Henry Faber of Harare, ex Peter Brewer.


Henry's brother Chris owned at some stage a Ferrari Dino, possibly #01008. Henry also owned a Ferrari 400i that went to Mike Hollinshead in a trade for a Lamborghini Espada.

Make Ferrari
History          
Year 1969
Acquired new by Bob Bardolia, a Hotel owner in Salisbury, Rhodesia through a dealer in Italy, painted Blue. Acquired by Paul Jaffa in the mid 1970s, shortly before Mr. Bardolia passed away in a car accident. Paul had the car repainted a Dark Orange, Jaffa Orange. Later taken to Cape Town, South Africa. Between 1989 and 2004 the car was taken off the road and restored by Viglietti Brothers of Cape Town, during which the car was repainted Blue.  Paul owned the car till 2005, when an American Ferrari dealer bought it for $150,000.

Year   Imported by Mr. Nick Benatar of Salisbury, from Switzerland. Collected at the port in Cape Town and driven back to Salisbury, Rhodesia. Sold four years later. Also owned; Yellow Fairlane, Blue Pontiac Grand Prix, Gold Cadillac DeVille, Cadillac Eldorado, Jaguar 420, Ferrari 365 GT 2+2, Mercedes 280 SL, Jaguar XJ6 4.2, Jaguar XJ6 2.8, Rolls Royce, Jaguar 3.8s.

LHD. Delivered in 1964 through Garage de Montchoisy, Swz. Noted in 1969 in Rhodesia and in the 1980s in Zimbabwe. With Mike Hollinshead in Zimbabwe by 1988, taken to Australia around 2007. For sale in 2013 with Oldtimer in Australia, then in July 2014 with Landmark Car Company, London before going to Montana USA. For sale with CNC Motors of Ontario California in 2017 for US$300,000. Owned by Peter Lenkov 2019/20. 2020 the car was consigned to Fantasy Junction California, asking price US$179,500. (Conceptcarz shows the following notes: High bid of $270,000 at 2017 Mecum Auction (did not sell) - Sold for $162,400 at 2019 Gooding & Company Auction)

Sold by Ferreira's Auctions around 2000 and acquired by Henry Faber. Later acquired by Mike Hollinshead together with a whole lot of Ferrari spares (traded for a Lamborghini Espada), who rebuilt the car, some of the work being done by Martin Hobbs. Taken to Australia where it was acquired by Al Campbell. Said to be in poor condition, missing parts and in need of restoration.
