The Vintage
Car Club of Zimbabwe was given the radiator and
remains of an engine many years ago. It is believed
the parts came from Inyanga. The parts later went to
South Africa with Johan Van der Hoven

ex Bulawayo,
noted in Durban, South Africa in 2016 being rebuilt
with a recreation Lusso spider roadster body with
dickey, as per drawing supplied by Centro Storico,
Turin. Owned by Derek Williams in 2016, offered for
sale with a 1927 Fiat 509A pickup.

First delivered to India, the car was imported
through Cape Town to Rhodesia in 1936, where it was
registered in Bulawayo. This car was one of twelve
known in the world of which only three were fitted
with the body style carried by this car. Owned by S.
Jansky in 1959 when the car was used in the 1st
Reliability run to Umtali, owned by M.M. Gill of
Salisbury in 1970. Several previous national rallies
to its credit including the 1966 event that ended in
Cape Town. Later passed to Eric Glasby in Bulawayo
before being acquired by Richard Dismore of
Johannesburg. Stored for much of its life, a rebuild
was unneccessary and only a re-paint in its original
colours was carried out. Sold to Vincenzo Nicolosi
in 2008. The car was apparently sent to Vincenzo's
father in Italy for restoration.
