Registered in
Nyasaland (Now Malawi) in 1930 owned by Harvey
Snowdon of Salima on the shores of Lake Nyasa. Put
on chocks in 1939 with the start WWII. After the war
tyres were not available, then Harvey had a stroke.
1958/59 collected by the Vintage Car Club of
Nyasaland members and passed through a number of
owners. 1965 acquired by C.T. Keeley who got the car
running by mid 1970. Did various rallies and runs
including a trip Blantyre, Salisbury,
Bulawayo,Gwelo, Fort Vistoria, Umtali, Salisbury,
Blantyre. Sent to Salisbury, Rhodesia in 1972 by
Swift Transport. Used in June 1973 on the Shell
Umtali run by Mr. Keeley. Sold in Sept 1974 to R.J.
Challis for $1250. Purchased in 1979 by Laurie
Hoffman and Chris Mowlam, new tyres fitted in the
early 1980s. car resprayed and reupholstered in mid
1980s. Used for runs and weddings between 1985 and
2005. Stored since 2005 in Harare. Noted in storage
in 2015.
