History          
Year
Ex Syd Taylor racing. By November the 6.2 Lola-Chevrolet T70 Mk3B was shipped to South-Africa for the Springbok Series, always popular among British racers. Initially the car was rented by John Love's Team Gunston, but later they bought it. Equipped with the 6.2-litre engine with fuel injection, painted in the Team Gunston colours. John Love later fitted a 6.9-litre engine, developing around 500hp. Finished 2nd behind the SL76/149 Lola T70Mk3B of Mike de Udy and Frank Gardner. Lourenço Marques 3 hours, John Love lead before a a blown head gasket forced him to retire. 1st in the Bulawayo 3 hour, 5 laps ahead over the Gardner/de Udy Lola T70Mk3B.

2nd row - Malcolm Guthrie's 5.0 Ford GT40,  Digby Martland's #17 1.8 Chevron-FVC B16. Clive van Buuren's 2.0 Porsche 906, Fred Goddard's Elva-Ford T/C Mk4.

At the back is the Robin Widdows/Alistair Walker 4.4 Ferrari 365P4 starting from the back with ignition problems.

History          
Year c1965
Raced by Roy Pierpoint at Bulawayo in 1966, No. 21. Powered by a Ford 5.0L V8 - Shared with Doug Serrurier in the 1966 9 Hour thereafter Serrurier purchased the car to campaign in the SA Sports Car Championship and future Springbok Series, sharing with Jackie Pretorius in those series.
