Year
Converted around 1955 from a single seat racer to its current form by Dennis Thorn. Acquired in 1963 by Harry Hendry. Harry owned the car for many years before selling it to Chris Evans. Fitted with a TD engine. This is the J2 later owned by Sam Tingle, who had raced the car in his racing days.

Year 1930
Car no. 2/M/1589. Acquired new by Edward Ernest Turner of Morcombelake, Bridport, Dorset. Left the works in early 1930 as a 1929 model. Imported into Rhodesia in 1961. Taken as payment for some work done, by Bill Wood in 1964 and given to his son Nick to re-build. Later taken over by Joe T. Skinner of Salisbury who restored the car with his son Tim. Offered for sale by Joe in 1979, used in 1965 Annual Vintage Reliability Run. Sold after Joe died.

Year 1930
Car originally from the Cape, South Africa. Found on a scrap heap at a garage in Shabani. Acquired by Neil Clarke. Fitted at some stage with a flat rear and a Singer 4- speed gearbox. Later rebuilt with an MG box and fitted with a boat-tail body. Later acquired by Eric Glasby in Bulawayo. Possibly ended up in Johannesburg?

Year 1956 Acquired by Viv Westbury's father from Dave Storey who had been restoiring the car. Sold on in the Mid 1980s. Later noted with the Late Christian Delville. After he died his Triumph TR3, MG TD and Magnette were sold to David Gazana who lives in America. Unknown if the cars are still in Zimbabwe.

Year 1958 RHD, believed to have been imported from the UK and not built from a kit in South Africa. Ex Rhodesia, believed to have been owned by a  policeman. The second owner was Mark David Little of Rhodesia and later Pretoria, South Africa. Acquired in the late 1980s by John Monico of Australia, who was resident in South Africa at the time. a restoration was started in South Africa and completed in Canberra, Australia

Year 1965 First new car owned by Chris Tamm in Lusaka, Northern Rhodesia. Chris said it was the worst car he ever owned. In the first 1500 miles he had the engine re-done, suspension replaced and 3 of the 4 wheel bearings failed.

Imported into Rhodesia in 1963, believed to have been one of four CKD kits assembled in Port Elizabeth or East London, South Africa. A veterinarian, Dr. Wright, was the first Rhodesian owner. used for racing in Rhodesia and South Africa. Dr. Wright sold the car to Dudley Searle in 1999, milege around 18000. Dudley then did a body off restoration. Acquired by Kevin Peacocke around 2001. Acquired by Buster Bichard by 2014. Now in the UK.

Owned by Allan Mayger from the early 1970s to mid 80s. Bought on tender in Gwelo after a failed Alfa engine transplant, owner left the country. Rebuilt by Allan and his brother Ian. Used for a decade as everyday transport including a bit of towing. Sold in Harare, engine seized - possibly replaced with one from a Riley. Subsequently into a private collection, then owned by Michael Gaskin, and currently Mark Warhurst.

Acquired by Bruce Dixon of South Africa from the Dunstan family of Harare who acquired the car from Ray Robinson. Twin cam body with a 1600cc engine which appears to have been professionally fitted around 1965. Registered 07 April 1962 in Rhodesia.

Year 1959 Rare twin cam version one of very few imported to Southern Africa. Owned by Anthony Bayley - Photos show car in standard and racing trim. Later fitted with a black vinyl removable hardtop. Raced in the Beira round the houses race around 1970, finished 5th out of 18, which is attributed to the engine rebuilt supervised by Isaac Codron.

Car No. 2033. Ex Rhodesia, later in South Africa (registered in Robertson and later Stellenbosch) then Holland where it is now owned by Patrick Van Gelder. A restoration of the car is currently being finished off (Dec 2012). The MGA twin cam is a rare car and this car could well be the car above.
