Converted
around 1955 from a single seat racer to its current
form by Dennis Thorn. Acquired in 1963 by Harry
Hendry. Harry owned the car for many years before
selling it to Chris Evans. Fitted with a TD engine.
This is the J2 later owned by Sam Tingle, who had
raced the car in his racing days.

2/M/1589. Acquired new by Edward Ernest Turner of
Morcombelake, Bridport, Dorset. Left the works in
early 1930 as a 1929 model. Imported into Rhodesia
in 1961. Taken as payment for some work done, by
Bill Wood in 1964 and given to his son Nick to
re-build. Later taken over by Joe T. Skinner of
Salisbury who restored the car with his son Tim.
Offered for sale by Joe in 1979, used in 1965 Annual
Vintage Reliability Run. Sold after Joe died.

Clarke. Fitted at some stage with a flat rear and a
Singer 4- speed gearbox. Later rebuilt with an MG

by Eric Glasby in Bulawayo. Possibly ended up in
Johannesburg?

to have been imported from the UK and not built from
a kit in South Africa. Ex Rhodesia, believed to have
been owned by a policeman. The second owner
was Mark David Little of Rhodesia and later
Pretoria, South Africa. Acquired in the late 1980s
by John Monico of Australia, who was resident in
South Africa at the time. a restoration was started
in South Africa and completed in Canberra, Australia
Owned in
Northern Rhodesia by Peter Valk in 1964 - Background
shows a MK3 Zephyr that went from the UK to Northern
Rhodesia and then Holland, sold in 1969.

Imported into
Rhodesia in 1963, believed to have been one of four
CKD kits assembled in Port Elizabeth or East London,
South Africa. A veterinarian, Dr. Wright, was the
first Rhodesian owner. used for racing in Rhodesia
and South Africa. Dr. Wright sold the car to Dudley
Searle in 1999, milege around 18000. Dudley then did
a body off restoration. Acquired by Kevin Peacocke
around 2001. Acquired by Buster Bichard by 2014. Now
in the UK.

Owned by Anthony Bayley - Photos show car in
standard and racing trim. Later fitted with a black
vinyl removable hardtop. Raced in the Beira round
the houses race around 1970, finished 5th out of 18,
