by Dick Campbell of Umtali. Displayed in the Mutare
museum before being acquired by Tony Woods of Harare
as a non runner. Tony remanufactured and fitted
numerous parts before selling the car to John
McFadyean in Harare, who then got the car running.

1964 by Ivan Holshausen as a collection of parts as
the car had been taken apart and dumped on a lawn,
covered in plastic sheeting. White ants had eaten
most of the wooodwork, so Ivan made up new pieces.
Taken to Cape Town in 1980, sold on in the mid
1980s. Seen below alongside his E-Type Jaguar and
MGA Twin Cam.

the late 1970s by Richard Laurie who farmed near
Mazoe. Stabled together with an MG TD and a TF. This
car remained on the farm till 2000 when it was towed
to Harare during farm take overs and shipped to
South Africa and then Colorado, USA. Noted for sale
on eBay in Feb 2015. Restoration begun in the 1980s
but never completed.

1959 by Peter Huson of Bulawayo, from the owner of
the Hillside Service Station in part exchange for
his Austin A70. In 1961 Peter acquired a load of
spares whilst in the UK including competition head,
cam, crank, con-rods, valves and shocks. He then
rebuilt the car over six months to compete in short
circuit meets held by the Bulawayo Motoring Club.
Sold in 1964 to Eric Glasby, together with an MG J1
and a TD 1, both of which he had been rebuilding.
Noted with a new owner in 1973/74 fitted with an MG
Magnette engine. The original engine had been
amongst the last batch of factory approved XPAG
engines, before the TF came out with the XPEG
engine.

Mart in Bulawayo. Acquired in late 1955, with 7000
M, by Colin Lambon. Traded in around 1959 for a Fiat
Nuova 500 Abarth. Colin reacquired the car in 1960.
After over polishing the car through to the
undercoat, Colin had the car resprayed in a lighter
green (a Nash Rambler colour). Later traded in for a
1963 Austin Mini Cooper.
