Made in
Rhodesia, single cylinder, apparently only four are
thought to survive, a frame in the Museum of
Zimbabwe, one in Cape Town, one in the Deneysville
Motorcycle Musuem (previously owned by a member of
the Rhodesia Prison Service) and another in
Centurion near Pretoria (plus the Blue bike shown
below?). It is believed that 29 were built in a
small factory in Pioneer Street Salisbury in the
1960s, before the builder, Terry Franklin, died in
an accident in Salisbury. Single tube frame, Earles
fork, Sachs 125cc engine. Named after Gary Hocking's
racing motorcycle the Rhodesian Ridgeback, built by
John love.
In 2019 the Deneysville Museum Ridgeback was noted
as having been sold to another collector.
