standard model, featuring both standard and deluxe
features. One of 40 split window Beetles imported to
Rhodesia in 1952. Last registered in 1979, stored in
Pretoria for 20 years. Restored by Ernst Van Der
Toorn, Ferdi Radel and Werner Alker of Johannesburg,
painted L37 medium blue, a colour used on standard
models only. Exported to Perth Australia in 2003.
