Classic Cars in Rhodesia

The aim of this website is to share my research into classic, collectors, vintage cars and motorcycles that have been owned in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe), I have also included cars owned in Northern Rhodesia (Zambia). I was born in Bulawayo, Rhodesia, hence my interest in the cars in this part of the world. Any car names that are not underlined. do not have a link on them, but they will do so as soon as I have added the relevant information. Thank you for your patience in this regard. - Please note you may need to refresh the page to view new entries, by pressing F5.

Although I have used the term Classic in the site name, this site covers Vintage, Veteran, Post-Vintage, Post-War and many other categories of cars. This information has been accumulated as a side line to my main research into Rolls-Royce and Bentley owned in Africa. As my main research is being prepared for publication, I will only be adding minimal info on Rolls-Royce and Bentley from Feb/Mar 2014.

You can check out the great variety of cars I have here on my website, although I have currently refrained from featuring Rolls Royce and Bentley models, many other popular vintage car manufacturers and models are included. You might even find information about a classic Ford Bronco with an avid collector from Rhodesia featured here, all you need to do is be patient enough to look through the extensive pages of my website.

Vehicles are listed alphabetically by make (see sections A-G, H-M. N-T, U-Z). Additionally there is a section for motor racing, which was started thanks to Mrs. Morag McDonald Tritt who passed on her wonderful photograph collection. There are also sections for Rhodesian Car Club badges and early photographs of motoring in Rhodesia. I have also recently started a section on cars in other African countries.

Special thanks to Brian Goodall, Peter Huson, Nick Wood, Viv Westbury for their invaluable information and photographs that have made this website possible and thanks to everyone else who has supplied information and photographs.

If anyone has any photographs or information on any cars / badges, I look forward to hearing from you via the webmaster email address below.

I would also be interested in hearing about classic cars in any other African countries, especially Kenya as I plan on doing a similar sites for other African countries at some stage.
